Maidstone Wedding Photography – Paula & Craig
Paula & Craig got married at their local church before moving onto the Orchard wedding venue for a reception. As a recommended supplier for the Orchard, they asked if I could cover their Maidstone Wedding Photography.
A lovely couple that I met in November 2014, Paula and Craig were shy and nervous. They had a lovely teenage daughter so had spent many years before deciding to tie the knot. They were my ideal type of couple because they knew what they wanted the day to be like and said that I should try to be as discreet as possible, just to capture what happened with no influence or interference.
I suggested a pre shoot earlier in the year so that they could get used to being in front of the camera and to also understand how I work and to get to know one another.
Being a late October wedding, both Paula and Craig were hoping for typical weather for this time of the year! For me, this is both a blessing and a curse as there is very little light so I’d have to use all my previous experience to control and add to what little light there is without being obtrusive or making the day like a photoshoot.
Paula had some very particular requirements such as her ornamental bouquet which contained no flowers. Made by Marion Hopkinson. Her wedding cake which actually contained real swarovski crystals made by the lovely Cobi and Coco cakes.
Anyway, I loved the wedding and hope you enjoy browsing the photographs as much as I did taking them!
